Sergio joined the June 14 ‘No Kings’ protest in Los Angeles to stand with undocumented immigrants after Trump called in the National Guard to the streets. He was chanting “peaceful protest” when a sheriff’s grenade tore off his index finger. “I saw my finger explode in real time,” he tells BT, holding up his mutilated hand. Sergio says the attack is a shocking violation of his first amendment right to protest.
