The Yemeni resistance movement vowed to retaliate for any future violations by targeting vital Saudi interests, and confirmed that flights between Sanaa and Tehran will not stop.

The Ansar Allah-led Yemeni armed forces announced on Monday, July 13, that Saudi warplanes struck the take-off and landing runways in Sanaa International Airport. The Yemeni resistance movement and government added that the assault caused damage to some of the airport’s facilities.
The Yemeni Armed Forces’ spokesman Brigadier General Yahya Sare’e considered the Saudi attack a new escalation that effectively ended the de-escalation phase between the Saudi state and Ansar Allah.
Sare’e warned that “the assault will not pass without a response and a punishment,” holding “the Saudi side responsible for the consequences of the escalation.”
The Ansar Allah-run news website Almasirah reported that the new offensive aimed to prevent an Iranian airplane – carrying Yemeni patients, stranded citizens, and an official delegation – from landing.
However, Yemen’s Minister of Transport and Public Works, Mohammed Ayash Qahim, confirmed that the airplane landed safely despite the attack.
